Dee Wolfe

I’m Dee Wolfe, a Bronx-born, queer Jamaican American artist, graphic designer,and creative director. For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my life to telling the stories of people with experiences like mine, to foster community and shine a light on topics that are often seen as taboo, especially for those of us with marginalized identities. My work is rooted in storytelling, nostalgia, trauma recovery, transformation, and transparency in order to fulfill my goal; using art and design as tools for healing, visibility, and empowerment. My multidisciplinary practice spans painting, digital art, pattern design, wearable pieces, and stationery, all deeply rooted in personal narrative and community-driven storytelling.

"It all started in a tiny bedroom with a big dream."

Founder Dee Wolfe was born and raised in Bronx, NY, she is a professional storyteller, whether it’s through Visual art, music, Poetry or Apparel, she’s dedicated to using her voice for self expression and uplifting her community through creating safe spaces for joy and truth.

She started this company as passion project in September 2018, in the transition from college to “Adult life” as a millennial living with parts post-grad facing depression and undiagnosed Neurodivergence, she realized she wasn't the only one who needed a little light in their life. She used that energy to create, the thing that brought her the most happiness into her life, was sitting down, cutting out stickers I made from some drawings she did, and showing her friends. After showing her friends, she then wanted to share them with everyone and since then she has hand cut over 1,000 stickers by hand that have made it to into the homes and hands of people nationwide who needed a little piece of joy.

MoonRose is a representation of the important things in life. It was named after Dee's Maternal grandmother, who never fails to remind her to be grateful for the things that she has including the curiosity to learn more and always grow. All the little moments that count. It's also built on the premise, that art should be shared, and accessible to everyone, from two inch stickers, to a shirt you can wear everyday, art has the power to evoke emotions and bring happiness.That's who she is, The woman who needed some colorful joy, and decided to share it with the world. As a self-proclaimed stationery junkie, I knew something that made me happy were stickers and other cute things, surrounding fun and planning.

The core of MoonRose is the idea of wellness. The focus has always been and will continue to be on positivity, motivation, self confidence, and most of all, happiness. She's definitely had a long turbulent journey, however her priority remains to continue to spread some happiness around, because It's desperately needed. It started off with tiny little stickers to empower me as a black woman, but now, you can wear it, you can hold it, you can feel the love from me to you. The goal is to inspire others, and ourselves, to feel good in their skin, and to stay true to their beliefs. Everyone needs a little sunshine through the clouds, and a sprinkle of black girl magic can't hurt either.
