Sum1Cares was created from my own experience of feeling misunderstood, unsupported, and unseen as Black, Queer, Caribbean Woman while trying to navigate neurodivergence, medical gaslighting and the growing pains of adulthood. I learned that even if I felt like I had no one, I was still cared for by so many people, and if I didn’t have them, I still always have myself. Sum = 1 Everyone needs sum1 who cares.

Your contribution helps us send care boxes and sponsor healing-centered craft sessions for community members who are rebuilding, grieving, transitioning, or just trying to keep going. These will be used to run community events, prepare free, sliding scale and/or low-cost gift boxes and activities, application and participation fees for additional funding, and or reach.
Yes! We are building our own stock or art supplies for community use and are more than open to accepting appropriate donations. Please contact us directly through our contact form or DM us on social media and we can arrange givning your supplies a new home in the gardens.
